All four parts of the UNDA are made of polypropylene (PP), only the sealing ring is made of silicone. Polypropylene and silicone are highly heat-resistant, so the UNDA gets very clean in the dishwasher and is also well suited to hot drinks. This way, single-use bottles and cups – like the to-go coffee cup that ends up in the bin after one use – can be avoided.
Because all four parts are made of polypropylene and the sealing ring can be removed without special tools, the UNDA is easy to separate into its materials. Spare parts are available individually in the shop.
We want the UNDA to be usable for as long as possible, which is why we built it to be as sturdy as possible. We also want to encourage you to give your UNDA a new purpose at the end of its life (e.g. as a vase or lamp) or to keep using it as a cup. If the UNDA does need to be disposed of: PP and silicone are not bonded together and can be separated without special tools.
